GOOS at the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26)

The Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) presented its ocean-climate priorities at the 26th session of the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland. Co-chair Anya Waite (Ocean Frontiers Institute) presented GOOS priorities in the science pavilion as part of the GCOS Status Report and the Earth Information Day.

NOAA’s supports establishing a globally operation Surface Ocean CO2 reference network

The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has affirmed its support to establish a global operational surface ocean CO2 reference network. This one of the priority areas of the G7 FSOI and is a project being developed through the International Ocean Carbon Coordination Project (IOCCP) with G7 FSOI support.
